Off To The Shows!

Two BIG shows went out the door this week! The Benny Show & the Scholastic Art Awards. If any student wins either show they may find out over vacation. Benny's will call winners & Scholastics will sent out invitations. I would like to wish you all a happy and relaxing Holiday. And I will see you next year......Mellen

Parent Teacher Conference

This week Wednesday, December 9th is Parent Teacher Conference. I will be located in the E-Room Carpeted area. I will have artwork displayed in my classroom. Hope to see you next week! 5:30pm-8:30pm

Conference In December

Conference will be Wednesday, December 9th 5:30-8:30pm in my Classroom I hope! I'm trying to move my location back to my classroom so that you can see their artwork. I'll keep you posted! Progress reports will be going out Tuesday December 1st. Look for them in the mail.

Thanksgiving Break

Hello Everyone~
Thanksgiving is coming up fast! We have a break starting Wednesday, November 25th-27th.
The Junior & Seniors will be submitting designs for the Tri-C Rock-Off next week. We have been working on CD, Tee-shirt or Poster designs for the competition. I hope someone will win. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Our next parent-teacher conference is on December 9th 5:30-8:30.

Next interims are going to be coming out on December 1st. Heads Up!

End of Grading Period

Hello All~
The end of the grading period is this coming Friday, October 30th. OGT schedule begins on Monday!

OGT Week October 26th-30th

All Career Tech Programs will run during this week; however, students who need to take tests will not attend their programs. Out of district students will arrive and leave at the usual time in the morning.

Out of district P.M. Students will be at Euclid High School from 11:02a.m. until 12:57p.m.

Juniors are working hard on new projects:

Computer line portrait
They will be having a test this Wednesday: Visual Perception ~ They must score a 75%
No School Friday!

Seniors:
They are finishing up their two final pieces (Self-portrait or Word Illustration)
Every Friday is College Day! They are working on filling out applications, scholarships, paperwork that needs to be done! If you have any questions, give me a call! My senior need to know that it is important they work hard this semester on their grades & portfolio!!!! Please encourage them

YMCA Leadership Camp~Junior Class

We will be attending a Leadership Camp at Perry Outdoor YMCA on Wednesday, September 16th from 9-1:00pm. We will leave Euclid at 8:15am and will be back at 2:00pm. Please dress for outdoor activities!

Hello All~
Juniors are working really hard! They are working on their drawing unit & graphic art unit. They currently started an ad reproduction. They are learning how to use their technical pens and design markers. In their drawing unit they are working on line drawings and then will move onto value drawing!

Seniors are currently working on 3 self-portraits. They must use three different mediums. (mini concentration) They will be starting their computer unit next week.

ACT deadline to register is September 18th ~ I am encouraging all seniors to take the test now. The actual test is October 24th
