Pinwheels For PEACE

“Pinwheels
for Peace!”

International Day of Peace
Wednesday, September 21

Euclid High School Students are Standing Up for “Whirled” Peace by participating in an International Peace Day Project called “Pinwheels for Peace”. Students in all Art Classes, Mediation, Stand Up! Committee, SAVE Club and more are making colorful pinwheels that contain messages of peace. The pinwheels will be “planted” on the front lawn of Euclid High School on Wednesday, September 21 between 3 and 9 pm as a symbol for peace in our community and throughout the world.

The pinwheels will then be taken to Shore Cultural Center on Friday, September 23rd to be displayed during their Art and Farmer’s Market. Pinwheels will be for sale here to benefit the Euclid High School Mediators so they may attend “Peace Jam” where they meet Nobel Peace Prize winners and learn how to become peaceful leaders within our school and in our community. Mediators will even help you make your own pinwheel between the hours of 4 and 7 pm. There will be a free concert for your enjoyment given by the Passport Project, a group featuring African dancers and drummers. Please join us!
